Unless you purchase and smoke your cigars one at a time, you need a place to store them. Spending money on something that goes stale over time is a poor investment, and a good humidor provides you with an excellent storage option for the long term.
The Case Elegance Humidor is one such device and it has a lot going for it, including a traditional but modern furniture aesthetic with only a splash of technology with a small but unobtrusive digital display.

- PERFECT HUMIDIFICATION – Our patent pending hydro system is super easy to setup and maintain. Just follow our thorough instructions (including setup videos and phone support), and you'll be up and running in just a couple of days. The hydro system keeps perfect humidity with minimal maintenance year-round.
- COMES WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED – You get it all, 1 hydro tray, a crystal gel packet, 2 bottles of humidor solution (solution for all climates and seasons). No one else makes it this easy! (Accessories in Drawer Not Included)
- CAPACITY BREAKDOWN – Storage capacity depends on the ring gauge and size of your cigars. With an average 52 ring gauge cigar, you can store roughly 30 cigars. With smaller Robusto's or coronas, you can store 30 – 50. If you need more capacity check out our larger humidors.
This smallish box is designed kind of like a jewelry box and is manufactured in Spanish cedar. It’s also completely sealed, which is very important in a good humidor. Without the seal, it kind of defeats the purpose.
Key Features
- Spanish Cedar is an excellent wood for airtight seals
- Adjustable humidity control system
- Patent-pending hydro system
- Includes a crystal gel packet
- Hydro tray
- Comes with a hydro solution
- Hygrometer
- Holds up to 50 cigars
It’s a beautiful-looking box, with a glass top so you can see your cigars when the box is closed. There’s nothing fancy about the digital display in the front. The readout is rendered in black digits on a tan/green background.
However, the display is surrounded by chrome trimmings, which look fantastic against the wood grain in the background. The box is designed to maintain your cigars for up to a year, and it’s quite effective. The cigars taste as fresh as the day you purchased them, even if you bought them months ago.
The patent-pending hydro system keeps the interior humidity at perfect levels with little to no maintenance required from you. Making adjustments to the humidity is straightforward.
The Spanish Cedar interior was manufactured by design since Spanish cedar is renowned for holding moisture, which makes the hydro’s job that much easier. The built-in humidifier and hygrometer do most of the hard work for you.
The humidity is adjustable, and you can fine-tune it to your personal preference. However, keep in mind that too much humidity will destroy any good cigar.
How to use it
The digital hygrometer is incredibly accurate, and the lid seal contains embedded magnets with custom-designed hinges. All of this comes together to create the perfect seal without giving you any difficulty opening it.
When you first open the Case Elegance Humidor, you have to break out the hydro tray and the hydrogel. Distribute the gel in the tray and pour half of your humidor solution over it. Put the tray back together and load it up in the box.
Over the first few days, you will have to come back to the hydro tray and keep adding gel and hydro until it maintains 65% humidity on its own. What the Humidor doesn’t do is maintain cigars that never move.
Go in and rotate your cigars every few days or so. Other than that, the box is relatively maintenance-free, and since it maintains a digital display with highly accurate readings, you’ll know if anything goes wrong and needs to be adjusted.
Pros and Cons
Of course, there is no such thing as the perfect system for anything. Cigar aficionados are often very picky over the humidity levels, and the Humidor keeps the humidity up to a higher level than some are accustomed to.
Pros
- Includes the digital hygrometer
- Magnetic seals are fantastic
- Spanish cedar gives off a great, earthy smell
- Accessory drawer is slick
- Very low maintenance after setup
- Design is simple yet very elegant
Cons
- Maintains humidity at 70%, which some cigar enthusiasts may not like

Bottom Line
If you are just getting into cigars, you probably weren’t aware of the need for humidity storage. In fact, anytime you hit up the cigar lounge in a cigar shop, the humidity levels in those rooms are noticeably higher than the outside unless you live in a place like south Florida.
If you are a collector or you like to purchase a lot of cigars at a time, the Case Elegance Humidor is the perfect solution for long term storage. Its only major flaw is specific to those who don’t prefer the high humidity. However, it does a fantastic job of keeping cigars fresh.

I have been smoking cigars for 30 years and counting, I started at 18 years old with mild Cubans and worked my way up to medium and now bold. I own 4 humidors, that I try to keep stocked at all times.
