They had five children together: Erika that was born in 1965, Erinn that was born in 1966, Ennis that was born in 1969, Ends that was born in 1973; and Evin that was born in 1976.

They lost their only son, Ennis that was murdered on January 16, 1997, while he was changing a flat tire on the side of Interstate 405 in Los Angeles. While his daughter, Ensa, was awaiting a kidney transplant, she died of renal disease on February 23, 2018. 

Bill Cosby has grandchildren; he is a Protestant and has homes in Pennsylvania, Cheltenham, Massachusetts, and Shelburne. In 1976, Bill Cosby earned his Doctor of Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In 1991, Temple University awarded an honorary degree to Bill Cosby.

Later in life, Bill Cosby left Temple University to pursue a career in comedy. The Temple University Board of Trustees rescinded the honorary degree it gave to Bill Cosby, even though he was one of their famous alumnus and previous trustee. This is because he was convicted on three counts of aggravated indecent assault.

Cosby spent 32 years being a member of the Board of Trustees of Temple University after he graduated.

During Bill Cosby’s role at Temple University, he met Andrea Constant, who worked for the university’s basketball team. It was discovered that Cosby invited her to his home in Philadelphia; he drugged and assaulted her in January 2004. After Andrea Constand’s case, other women made sexual assault accusations against Cosby in the mid-2010s. More than 50 women accused Cosby of either child sexual abuse, sexual assault, rape, drug-facilitated assault, or sexual misconduct.

He denied all of them. However, Bill Cosby was found guilty of three counts of aggravated indecent assault and sentenced to three to ten years in prison in September 2018. Presently, Cosby is being incarcerated at the State Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania.
